Belgian Takes Top Prize for Premiere “Dual Profit” Challenge

YouHodler just concluded its first-ever community challenge for our latest feature, Dual Asset. The challenge pitted 1,030 YouHodler clients against each other to see who could “stake” the biggest price. While only 679 clients met the minimum requirements, we still calculated a total of 90,281 Dual Asset tickets. Meaning the average client opened 132 Dual Asset positions.

Overall, the challenge was a lot of fun, and today, we wanted to introduce you to the top five winners. Who knows? Maybe you’ll be next!

1st place: Tom from Belgium

Thanks to Tom’s amazing effort in opening up 7,603 unique stakes — and a little bit of luck — he took home the grand prize and is currently YouHodler’s most successful Dual Asset participant. Tom chose to accept his price in cryptocurrency: $5,000 worth of ETH. Now, let’s meet Tom for a short Q&A.

Q: What is your opinion on the market from here on out? Are you bullish or bearish?

A: I’m always bullish on the market as I never view the market short-term. It’s difficult to predict how the market evolves in the upcoming months but I do know that “The Ethereum Merge” will be one of the largest market deciders in the next few days!

Q:  What’s your favorite cryptocurrency and why?
A: My favorite crypto is currently Algorand! It is one of the most engaging communities I witnessed and full of awesome DeFi and NFT platforms. They even launched a football world cup NFT series in partnership with FIFA themselves for the upcoming world cup tournament.

Q: Do you have any valuable tips for the YouHodler community when using Dual Assets?
A: Dual Assets is a super awesome product but use it with caution. Asset volatility together with the overall market volatility can make your Dual Asset behave in weird ways!

2nd Place: Jorg from the Netherlands

Thanks to Tom for the positive and interesting feedback. Congratulations again to him! Next up, we have Jorg from the Netherlands. Jorg took the 2nd place prize, opting to receive it in stablecoins. For his efforts, Jorg received $3,000 in USDC. Here’s his Q&A.

Q: What is your opinion on the market from here on out? Are you bullish or bearish?
A: I think we will stay at this current level through this month. There is too much going on in the world to be bullish in the short term. Looking at the bigger picture I am bullish, eventually crypto in general will gain attention again as one of the best assets to invest in.

Q: What’s your favorite cryptocurrency and why?
A
: Bitcoin will always be my favorite. It’s the first, most widely used, and the least risky investment.

Q: Do you have any valuable tips for the YouHodler community when using Dual Assets?
A:
Not a tip, but just a recommendation to use Dual Assets. It’s a great and easy-to-use service and a good addition to other DeFi yield generation strategies.

3rd place: Gijs from the Netherlands.

Joining his countrymen Jorg in the top three is Gijs from the Netherlands. Gijs opted to receive his prize in Bitcoin. For his efforts, Gijs received $1,000 worth of BTC.

Q: What is your opinion on the market from here on out? Are you bullish or bearish?

A: I am bullish, but I am also of the opinion the market needs a while to recover to the heights that it reached some time ago. 100k BTC is still on the horizon, it will just take some time and that’s why I love the platform YouHodler because it helps you in any kind of market, bear or bull market.

Q: What’s your favorite cryptocurrency and why?

A: My favorite crypto, even though it’s not very original, has to be BTC. It’s in my opinion the king of crypto, even though I do believe “the Flippening” may occur. The original crypto that started it all is BTC and that’s why it will always be a store of wealth.

Q: Do you have any valuable tips for the YouHodler community when using Dual Assets?

A: Use the function when you don’t mind switching from one asset to another. That’s why I enjoy the USDT/BTC pairing because if the USDT gets converted into BTC I don’t mind at all. After all, BTC is there to stay.

4th place: Malitsas from Greece

Thanks for the excellent advice Gijs! For our fourth place winner, we fly south to the Mediterranean where Malitsas from Greece awaits us. Malitsas opted to receive his prize in stablecoins. His efforts resulted in $500 of USDC. Let’s see what he has to say about it.

Q: What is your opinion on the market from here on out? Are you bullish or bearish?

A: I think the market is bearish.

Q: What’s your favorite cryptocurrency and why?

A: My favorite crypto is Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Q: Do you have any valuable tips for the YouHodler community when using Dual Assets?

I don’t have any specific tips for the YouHodler community when using Dual Assets. I just think that Dual Assets is a very good idea you should try it if you still haven’t

5th place: Emilia from Portugal

Last but not least, we have Emilia from Portugal. Emilia chose to receive her prize in USDC and her efforts helped her win $500 worth of USDC. She was kind enough to sit down for a brief Q&A.

Q. What is your opinion on the market from here on out? Are you bullish or bearish?

A. With so much uncertainty in the world, it is quite likely that the market will continue to go sideways for a while, but I am pretty confident that it will come back because crypto and blockchain are the future.

Q. What’s your favorite cryptocurrency and why?

A: My favorite crypto, for now, is Ethereum, because so much is built on it.

Q: Do you have any valuable tips for the YouHodler community when using Dual Assets?

A. I could use some tips myself on how to use Dual Assets!

Congratulations again to the top five winners and thanks to everyone else who participated. Keep your eyes peeled for more events like this very soon! In the meantime, give Dual Asset a try and let us know what you think
